And then..the concert

How did it go last night? I was happy afterwards. The church was beautiful (late 19th century, gorgeously restored Roman-Catholic), but not too easy acoustics. I played Steve Reich really soft, far softer than I ever did. Tjakina did great stuff on her cello. The organiser was really nice! The announcement in the beginning was a little bit challenging for me, a slightly reluctant announcement. For this concert series, this was the first time they presented the electric guitar, and some contemporary music, along with the older classical pieces. But the 75 people were convinced after a few pieces. Flowers and a very good applause at the ens of the show. Six people bought the Steve Reich CD, and the gathering in the nearby restaurant, where we had been invited afterwards, was very pleasant. The program had worked very well. As I said, pretty satisfied, which is not always the case…
